DJI Transmission incorporates the O3 Pro video transmission technology, which offers an incredible 6 km terrestrial transmission distance. It also supports transmission at 1080p/60 fps with a max bit rate. 40 Mb/s, as well as live audio monitoring to 16 bits and 48 kHz, to offer the teams in large sets of shooting a fantastic experience of remote monitoring of audio and video.
Automatic frequency balance without interruption
O3 Pro incorporates DFS frequency bands in addition to the traditional 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz, which offers up to 23 channels options, which provide professional teams with more suitable and interference-free transmission channels. Plus, DJI Transmission supports automatic triple-band frequency jump, which automatically scans the current electromagnetic environment to find the best wireless channel.
With an integrated frequency scanner, users can even manually select the optimal channel to avoid interference between devices.
By installing high-gain antennas, the transmission capacity is further increased.
Ultra-low latency from end to end
The transmitter and video receiver use the same chip solution as the 4D Ronin, with all parts expressly optimized to provide ultra-low transmission late at pairing it with film cameras, such as ALEXA Mini LF.
A multi-receptor transmitter
Both the high-gloss remote monitor and the video receiver support a multi-receptor transmitter for video and audio signals in two different modes of transmission. The default Emission mode supports an unlimited number of receivers, which is very practical for real-time monitoring by multiple teams, such as art, lighting and makeup departments, in sets with a lot of gear personnel. You can also show in real time the bit rate of a live signal and the video codecs of the input signal. If you want to change the camera index for monitoring, you can simply select the corresponding index, without checking the transmission channel, which greatly improves the efficiency when recording.
For connection to DJI Master Wheels or other control options, select Control mode on the high-gloss remote monitor or on the video receiver, and link it to the video transmitter. Thus, Ronin 2, RS 3 Pro and camera focus can be remotely controlled at up to two receiving ends, without affecting other devices connected by Emission mode. In addition, the video receiver supports voice calls for real-time voice transmission at ultra-long distances, allowing impeccable communication between the cameraman and the director or client.
Metadata transmission
The video receiver DJI allows transmission of camera metadata by SDI. When used with ARRI, RED and other major film cameras on the market, file name, time code, recording start, camera configuration (obturator, ISO, etc.) and target information (opening and focal distance) from the receiver to the monitors and QTAKE, which allows directors, cameramen and digital image technicians to receive detailed recording information on the set.
Encrypted transmission
DJI Transmission allows secure pairing and 256-bit AES encoding to protect your information against unauthorized access. Together with the chip developed by DJI and the transmission protocol, DJI Transmission can guarantee the maximum level of security for your videos.
Independent recording and reproduction
The high-gloss remote monitor features a microSD card slot and allows you to independently record and store H.264 signals live up to 1080p/60 fps. The remote monitor can automatically start and stop a recording in sync with the camera, making it easy to edit proxy files on the same set. When several remote monitors are used at the same time, each monitor can even record or play video independently without interfering with other monitors.
