The Synology DS923+ (in 40TB configuration) is a desktop NAS server with the ability to unite 3.5" hard drives (or SSD by adaptation) on its 6 front bays. It also includes 4 Ethernet connections to 1GB, which allows you to connect the point-to-point NAS to computer-clients, or unify in bounding (an aggregation) the four ports to a compatible switch. 3 years warranty for box and hard drives.

The NAS server includes 4GB ram memory that can be optionally extended up to 32GB ram memory. In turn and to expand your connectivity you can optionally add a card with 1GB or 10GB connection of RJ45 fiber optic type or Ethernet, thus improving the performance on the connection between the server and a switch.

The average speed of internal discs is about 900MB/s of reading/writing.

The SY-DS1621+ NAS can be expanded up to 10 additional hard drives (in a combination of 5+5) by adding one or two Synology DX517 expansion boxes.
