For the first time in a LUMIX: Apple ProRes video codec
With a CFexpress Type B card (MOV, 5.7K, 5728 x 3024 and 29,97p/25,00p/24,00p), you can internally record videos with ProRes 422 HQ codec and ProRes 422, the industry's professional standard, which gives rise to high image quality at a low compression. This considerably reduces the load of the computer during postproduction and allows non-linear editing (NLE) without transcoding, which simplifies your workflow from beginning to end.

10-bit recording 5.7K at 60p/50p
Thanks to modes 5,7K (5728 x 3024) 4:2:0 10-bit at 60p/50p (17:9) and 5,8K (5760 x 4320) at 30p/25p/24p 4:2:0 10-bit anamorphic (4:3), the LUMIX GH6 offers greater resolution and bit speed as never before, and provides the latest in high quality of image, versatductions.
Unlimited video recording time C4K/4K at 60p/50p 4:2:2 of 10 bits
The LUMIX GH6, the first camera that offers C4K/4K internal recording at 60p/50p 4:2:2 of 10 bits, provides unlimited recording time* when used at the recommended operating temperature**. Ideal for small production equipment and in demanding conditions where mobility and high quality are an essential aspect. It also allows simultaneous internal and external recording through HDMI output.
*In the guaranteed operating environment. When a battery is used. The recording time depends on the capacity of the battery and the recording support.
**-10–40.
Corresponding to resolution 4K (4096 x 2160) as defined by Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI).
?A CF Express card or SD memory card with Video Speed Class 90 is required.
Dual Image Stabilizer I.S. 2 of 7.5 steps
The Dual Image stabilizer (I.S.) 2 dual 5-axis combines control of I.S. of the body and O.I.S. of the target to offer a correction value of 7.5 steps. ?
*In accordance with the CIPA standard [dirección de guiñada/cabeceo: distancia focal f = 140 mm (equivalente en una cámara de 35 mm f = 280 mm), si se utiliza el objetivo H-FS14140].
10-bit HFR/VFR recording
The high-resolution slow motion recording, which has recently gained popularity in video production, is now possible thanks to the C4K/4K video recording at 120p/100p 10-bit HFR (high frame rate) with audio. The LUMIX GH6 also offers a wide range of 10-bit ALL-Intra recording modes for a high-quality edition, so you can record Full HD videos at 240p/200p HFR and Full HD at 240 fps VFR (variable frame rate). With VFR, you can record videos of up to 12.5x (Full HD at 24p/300 fps of 10 bits).
?The maximum output of the sensor is 60 fps when the dynamic range increase mode is ACTIVED.
New Venus Engine
The new Venus Engine offers approximately twice as much processing power as before, allowing high-speed processing of the highest number of pixels and the most resolution video and bit rate offered by the new sensor. The performance of image quality has also been considerably improved. The new intelligent detailed processing offers greater resolution, and the new high-performance 3D noise reduction and 2D modes (for videos) optimize noise reduction. The result is natural 3D-looking images with minimal noise, even at a high level of sensitivity. The high-precision dual 3D color control achieves better color reproduction (brillo, saturation and tonality), which gives rise to a richer and more faithful color expression.
New 25.2 megapixel sensor
The LUMIX GH6 includes the first 25.2 megapixel Live MOS sensor according to the Micro Four ThirdsTM system standard. By not having low-pass filter, its design allows a greater number of pixels and a higher resolution for an ultra-realistic level of detail. Its highest reading speed offers C4K/4K video recording at 120p and bursting at 75 frames per second using the electronic shutter, while minimizing the distortion that causes the vibration effect of the shutter.
