LUMIX S5II characteristics (DC-S5M2)

AF for hybrid phase detection radically improves the subject's follow-up and recognition performance.



It offers speed and precision so you can capture the subject even in complex scenes where there are several subjects, and also in environments with little light or backlit.

Enable Image Stabilization Technology.

Ideal for making recordings while walking. By determining the vibration status of the camera and optimizing correction relationships, the active image stabilizer can even compensate the significant chamber vibrations approximately 200% more than conventional systems.

A wide variety of video expression options.

This camera provides a full range of functions to expand the expression options of the creators, incorporating unlimited C4K/4K 4:2:2 from 10 bits to 60p/50p, 6K to high resolution (5952 x 3968 and 3:2) and (5952 x 3136 and 17:9), and many more.

LUMIX S5II with new generation of imaging devices.  



Since it is the first mirroless camera that includes a 24.2 MP CMOS sensor with phase detection AF, the camera has a new engine.

The camera offers a versatile and durable A HDMI terminal.


Lumix shapes emotions.

The new design entirely in black of the LUMIX S5II has been made to help the creator focus on the grasp of the subject without thinking about the tools he is using. It is created to mime with the shooting environment and to elude reflections in the iris or the recording support that encourages artistic creativity

A higher range of visual expression

The LUMIX S5II supports recording and playback with an external SSD drive via USB. Similarly, the recording function with the ProRes 422 HQ codec (1.9 Gbps maximum) and in ALL-Intra 4:2:2 10-bit format directly in SSD units, which together with portability and high capacity, has increased the efficiency of data backup and postprocessing.

Heat management for unlimited recording time with a C4K/4K resolution at 60p/50p 4:2:2 of 10 bits.

The new ventilation system located on the camera viewer makes it possible to extend the recording unlimitedly without heating problems.

LUMIX Color Science Technology

- Lumix, superior image quality. The new processor provides more realistic colors, a more precise resolution and a natural three-dimensional effect, which together with dual native ISO technology, effectively suppresses noise, including by shooting in ultra-high sensitivities, reproducing splendidly to dark areas.

- Easy color etalonage with LUT in real time. The photos and videos used by LUT in camera can be recorded internally without the need for any special software. Also, the camera helps you in editing to expand your expression range as much as you want.
