The V-RAPTOR® XL [X] 8K VV combines the strengths of the two camera families RED in a powerful multifunctional tool.
With frame speeds, low-light performance and V-RAPTOR line resolution, along with the progress of the KOMODO® global shutter, the V-RAPTOR sensor [X] 8K VV represents the culmination of the latest developments in the creation of digital cinema images.
Using the new 8K VV sensor RED, the V-RAPTOR XL [X] take advantage of the benefits and flexibility of a large format, global shutter, high frame rate and capture in 8K, all within an XL camera body ready for large productions.

RED V-Raptor XL [X] 8K VV
The V-RAPTOR XL [X] is designed to support high-end cinematographic and television productions, as well as any filmmaker who benefits from an all-in-one solution.
The dual-voltage battery support offers compatibility with a wide range of common batteries on the set, both 14 V batteries and 26 V-Lock or Gold Mount high-voltage options.
The built-in electronic ND filter allows filmmakers to accurately select the density in increases of 1/4, 1/3 and complete steps, providing unprecedented exposure control and field depth in a cinema chamber of this level.
The auxiliary power outputs of 12 V and 24 V allow camera assistants to feed all the necessary peripherals from one centralized place.
The front 3G-SDI and 12 V power of 2 pins, as well as compatibility with the DSMC3 display RED Touch of 7.0”, support any viewing preference of the camera operator.
The wireless time code, genlock and camera control, as well as the four SDI outputs, provide the DIT with access to everything you need.

RED Global Vision
La V-Raptor [X] 8K VV carries the limit of what a sensor is capable even further with the introduction of RED Global Vision, a new tool suite that uses the global shutter sensor to provide even more flexibility and ease of use throughout the production process. Among these tools is Extended Highlights, a function that allows the sensor to see more details of the high lights, providing extra information for HDR finishes, or a more subtle smoothing of those lights for SDR.
RED Global Vision also includes Phantom Track to speed up any virtual production environment that uses GhostFrameTM or Box Remapping, capturing different R3D clips for each subset and allowing real-time monitoring of each through SDI outputs.
Dynamic Range
With more than 17 dynamic range steps in standard modes and up to more than 20 with high magnified lights, V-RAPTOR XL [X] offers a smooth attenuation of the high lights and unmatched performance with little light.
Advanced connectivity
