Sensor CMOS Exmor RS type 1.0 approx. 14.0 megapixels (real)
The powerful CMOS image sensor stacked Exmor RSTM type 1.0 from the Z200 camera provides high-sensitivity and low noise images at a speed of up to 120 fps in 4K and 240 fps in FHD. It retains all the details with full pixel reading and real-time BIONZ XRTM image processing, while 709tone and S-CinetoneTM support facilitates color adjustment in the Cinema Line and Sony studio cameras.
Smart functions for more accurate recordings
Take advantage of Sony's innovations designed to help you capture the best content. The advanced processing unit with IA is able to recognize humans, while the Fast Hybrid AF system follows the subject accurately, ensuring a consistent approach. In addition, the variable neutral density filter allows you to adjust the optimal exposure in a wide variety of lighting conditions, or if you prefer, you can opt for the automatic neutral density function, which will adjust the exposure accurately and effortlessly.
Safe broadcasting and connectivity for television broadcasting
The camera Sony Z200 Includes integrated Wi-Fi connectivity of 2.4 and 5 GHz, compatible with C3 Portal (subject to) or XDCAM Pocket applications, facilitating high quality transmissions directly from the camera. In addition, the Monitor & Control app (available free on Google Play Store and Apple App Store) allows you to monitor the shots and adjust the angles remotely from a smartphone or tablet. For greater versatility, it has 12G-SDI integrated, offering a bandwidth four times higher than 3G-SDI with a single cable, as well as entry/exit TC and support for XAVC (MXF) suitable for broadcast (compatibility planned for June 2025 approx.).
Improved white balance accuracy
The balance control of the dynamic follow-up of targets (ATW) of the Z200 camera has evolved along with the BIONZ XR and IA-based functions. The camera's AI-based processing unit allows more accurate ATW control, even in low-light situations, as when the subject is in shaded areas
Advanced AI-based processing unit for next generation of automatic focus
A specialized AI-based processing unit, which works together with BIONZ XR, uses deep learning based on human form and posture data to recognize subjects with great precision. The Fast Hybrid AF system offers a wide coverage of 81 % to improve the automatic approach with subject recognition and real-time tracking. The Sony Z200 camera can perform effortlessly tracking and keep the focus on subjects located practically at any point in the frame.
Automatic frame
With the automatic frame activated, the camera will automatically follow a recognized human subject and adjust the frame to always appear in a prominent position. The result can give the impression that an operator has manually adjusted the frame during the shooting, although, in fact, the camera has been still all the time. Operators who work alone can concentrate on talking to the interviewee without constantly checking the camera's position.
4K 120 fps* for stunning slow motion recordings
The high reading speed of the Exmor RS sensor enables high-frequency 4K recording (HFR) up to 120 fps and FHD at 240 fps. Get 4x slow motion pictures in 4K at 30p or 5x at 24p. Regardless of the style you choose, the high-speed automatic approach helps you keep the subject in the picture. Supports slow and fast motion recording** from up to 4K to 120 fps and FHD to 240 fps.
? With an approximate cut of 23%. 100/200 fps in PAL mode. Check the use manual to know the minimum requirements of the memory card in order to ensure proper operation.
** The audio is not recorded in slow or fast motion video mode.
Optical Zoom 20x
A magnificent 20x G LensTM motorized zoom captures everything, from wide-angle interviews inside a car to top-floor sports telephoto lenses. With an optical zoom range of 24-480 mm (equivalent to 35 mm Full Frame), it features Sony's Clear Image Zoom technology, which offers the possibility of getting a 30x zoom when recording in 4K or 40x in FHD. In addition, you can explore maximum openings of F2,8 (wide angle) and F4,5 (teleobjective) while zooming quickly, smoothly and silently.
Advanced Image Stabilization
Minimize the effects of the camera movement with integrated image stabilization. Get sharp and even recordings with the image stabilization of the active mode*, where optical and electronic stabilisation combine to make pulse shots flow effortlessly.
? Light image cut in active mode. The active mode is not available when recorded at a 120 (100) fps or higher frame rate, including S ignoreQ mode.
Integrated neutral density electronic filter
It smoothly adjusts the variable neutral density electronic filter to adapt it to different light levels. It passes from a neutral density of 1/4 to 1/128 with a simple dial adjustment or uses the automatic neutral density function to maintain the optimal exposure; this is especially useful when you move quickly between indoors and outdoors.
Accurate LCD monitor and OLED viewer
Control and easily focus the subjects with a new 3.5 LCD monitor that offers approximately 27.6 million points with extraordinary brightness and clarity. The monitor oscillates up and down, as well as backwards, so it is very easy to find a comfortable viewing angle. The supplied parasol is easily installed by sliding it into the slots at the top and bottom of the LCD monitor, while it can be folded to save even with the installed parasol.
In order to enjoy a clear and undistractiond vision, the 0.39 high-contrast OLED viewer excludes external light and offers approximately 23.6 million points.
Compact design and storage
It easily folds the EVF and the LCD panel to save this light camera. The Z200 camera (only the main body) weighs approximately 1.96 kg (4 lb, 5.1 oz) and measures 175.6 mm (7 inches) x 201.3 mm (8 inches) x 371.1 mm (14 5/8 inches) (An.x Al. x Pr.), but, when saved, these dimensions are reduced to 175.6 mm (7 inches) x 175.4 mm (7 inches) x 285,1 mm (11/5 The microphone holder can be removed from the camera to achieve even greater portability.
? Without parasol, microphone support and large eyepiece. ?
Several recording options
The Z200 camera offers a wide variety of recording formats to suit the requirements of each project. XAVC (MXF)* provides enhanced compatibility for MXF-based broadcast TV workflows. XAVC S-I offers the highest recording quality 4:2:2 of 10 bits for 4K (QFHD) using Intra-Frame H.264, easy to use in postproduction. XAVC HS-L (H.265) and XAVC S-L (H.264) allow you to choose between 4:2:2 or 4:2:0 with Long GOP recording to expand recording time and improve efficiency when saving files. The XAVC HS proxy recording up to 16 Mbps can be performed simultaneously with higher bit speed formats and these smaller proxy files can be used for editing and previewing before final production delivery.
? Compatible from June 2025 or later.
